Airbus: firm order for 17 widebody aircraft
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has announced a firm order from the new Taiwanese company STARLUX Airlines, for 17 widebody aircraft, including twelve A350-1000s and five A350-900s.
The company did not specify the financial terms of the deal.
The plane maker reports that STARLUX Airlines plans to deploy these aircraft on long-haul routes connecting Taipei to Europe and North America, as well as to certain destinations in the Asia-Pacific region.
“At the end of February 2019, the A350 XWB Family had received 852 firm orders from 48 customers worldwide, making it one of the most successful wide-body aircraft ever.”
