Airbus: Chinese Ministry selects H175 helicopters

(CercleFinance.com) - The Chinese Ministry of Transport has selected the Airbus H175 for search and rescue operations.

These new H175s will conduct Search and Rescue (SAR) missions in one of the busiest maritime traffic areas in the world (seven of the world's ten most active container ports are in China), as well other important offshore areas.

The Chinese Ministry of Transport has been one of Airbus' largest clients in China for over 10 years and currently has four H225s.

"The H175 is proving its place as a trusted partner for maritime search and rescue missions, as we're seeing today in China," said Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters.

Today, the H175 helicopter is used in the Netherlands, the UK, Denmark, Thaïland, Australia, Mexico, Hong Kong and China.
