Airbus: 356 Airbus Helicopters delivered in 2018
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Helicopters reported having delivered over 356 helicopters last year, while registering 413 gross orders (381 net), up 18%, maintaining its leading position on the civil and para-public market, while strengthening its position on the military market.
In particular, the company has notched up 148 orders for light twin-turbine helicopters from the H135/H145 family, as well as 15 orders for the next generation H160. At the end of 2018, the group's order backlog increased to 717 helicopters.
Significant milestones have been achieved in the programs, including the power-up and ground tests of the electric propulsion technology demonstrator CityAirbus, for a first planned flight in early 2019, Airbus said.
