Airbus: contract for military helicopters for Qatar
(CercleFinance.com) - At the DIMDEX show, Airbus has announced that it has signed a contract with Qatar to supply 28 NH90 military helicopters, including 16 with a tactical transport configuration (TTH) and 12 with a naval configuration (NFH).
The aircraft manufacturer said that as part of the plan, the Qatari state will receive 16 H125 single-engine light helicopters in a training configuration for the Qatari Air Force Academy.
The medium-sized NH90 twin-engine helicopter program is managed by the consortium NHIndustries, a company owned by Airbus Helicopters (62.5%), Leonardo (32%) and Fokker (5.5%). So far, 350 such helicopters have been delivered to 20 clients.
