Airbus: meets with European works council on 7 March
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has said that management representatives will meet with the European Works Council on March 7 to explain the previously announced rate reductions for the A380 and A400M programs and discuss their impact on the group's workforce.
On this occasion, it said, "Airbus deeply regrets that the process on the current subject matter has been disturbed by leaks to the media, which resulted in excessive reporting about alleged job cuts in its four home countries."
The aeronautical manufacturer "is committed to managing any social implications in a responsible manner" and will communicate further information on its projects and considerations after this initial meeting.
