Airbus: sends assistance to victims of Irma hurricane.
(CercleFinance.com) - The AirbusFoundation and the French Red Cross have chartered a trial Airbus A350 XWB to transport 30 tonnes of key necessities and 84 healthcare professionals from France to Pointe-à-Pitre, in Guadeloupe.
These products are intended for the victims of Hurricane Irma on the
islands of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy, as well as the many other
islands in the Caribbean.
"Sending fast relief is the least that we can do and I would like to
thank our partners involved in this project for their support in terms
of logistics and dedication. This special mission would not have been
possible without their tremendous efforts, said Fabrice Brégier, Member
of the Management Committee of the Airbus Foundation and chairman of
Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
