Philips: buys Dutch health software maker Forcare.
(CercleFinance.com) - Royal Philips announced on Tuesday that it has bought Forcare, a Dutch-based maker of intelligent software for health information exchange.
Forcare will provide complementary capabilities, enabling the electronics giant to deliver seamlessly integrated informatics solutions which improve clinical workflow and enhance patient care, Philips said.
Forcare - which was founded in 2006 - has approximately 70 employees. The firm is headquartered in the Netherlands, with satellite offices in Germany, the UK and Canada.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
