Unilever: UBS 'unification value enhancing for shareholders'

(CercleFinance.com) - UBS has confirmed its buy rating on the Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant Unilever, which is currently "unifying" its structure.

The broker maintains a 12-month target of 53 euros for the share.
Analysts believe that the group has a convincing case for why the NV (under Dutch law) and PLC (under UK law) should unify. This unification will also strengthen Unilever's corporate governance, “addressing a key concern by some market participants,” the broker says in its report.

According to UBS, Unilever's new organisation will facilitate changes in scope. In addition, the weight of the "new Unilever" should increase in the Eurozone Euro Stoxx 50 index, which will become the third largest company by size.
