Unilever: takes over US group Sundial.
(CercleFinance.com) - Unilever yesterday announced the signing of the agreement to acquire the New York care products group, Sundial Brands.
The amount of the transaction was not revealed.
Founded in 1991, Sundial owns the SheaMoisture, Nubian Heritage, Madam C.J. Walker and Nyakio brands, products for which the Anglo-Dutch giant consumer goods giant emphasises as "high quality". In 2017, its sales are estimated to reach around 240 million dollars, and the transaction is expected to be finalised in the first quarter of 2018.
Within Unilever's Personal Care division, Sundial will maintain its independence and Richelieu Dennis, its founder, will remain its chairman and CEO.
