Degiro: strong growth in client numbers in Q1

8 million euros in the first quarter of 2019, up 4% year-on-year.
4,639,368 transactions were executed over the period (+1% compared to the Q1 2018). The company has continued to win new clients, 28,227 accounts opened since 1 January. Degiro now has a total of 386,000 customer accounts as of 31 March 2019 (+33% compared to the first quarter of 2018).
In France, Degiro recorded a 37% increase in the number of transactions executed. This puts the broker amongst the leaders in France, less than 5 years after its launch, the company said.
To further improve the user experience, Degiro announces that it will soon roll out a new version of its registration process, which is optimised for mobile devices, as well as its trading platform, management said.
