Aperam: sequential drop in Q1 EPS

(CercleFinance.com) - Aperam has published Q1 2019 of 0.
30 euro, down almost 50% relative to 0.59 euro in Q4 2018, with EBITDA of 81 million euros compared with 90 million euros, with what it says are poor market conditions in Europe and a seasonal weakness in Brazil.

Sales rose by 5.2% in sequential terms to 1,178 million euros over the first three months of the year, with steel shipments having increased to 501 thousand tonnes, from 480 thousand tonnes in the last quarter of 2018.

The special steels supplier expects its Ebitda to increase in Q2 2019 relative to Q1, and that net financial debt will remain at a low level over the current quarter.
