Aperam: EBITDA down, turnover up

(CercleFinance.com) - Unveiled this Wednesday after stock-market close, Aperam's first-quarter figures showed net profits of 85 million euros, down 3 million euros year on year.

The steel specialist's EBITDA was 141 million euros in the first quarter, down compared to the 160 million released in the first three months of 2017.

In terms of its activity, Aperam released turnover of 1.216 billion euros, on the rise compared to the same period last year (1.198 billion).

Aperam indicates that it anticipates a slight increase in its EBITDA in the second quarter. “The net financial debt [should] stay low in the second quarter of 2018 after dividends and share buyback”, says the company.
