ArcelorMittal: finalises sale of assets to Liberty House
(CercleFinance.com) - ArcelorMittal has said that it has finalised the sale of several steel plants to Liberty House Group, as part of the asset disposal plan agreed with the European Commission for the takeover of Ilva.
For the record, these are sites in Galati (Romania), Ostrava (Czech Republic), Skopje (North Macedonia), Piombino (Italy), Dudelange (Luxembourg), as well as several finishing lines in Liège (Belgium).
These assets in the joint venture total 740 million euros, of which 640 million euros was paid to ArcelorMittal on 28 June. The steelmaker will deposit 110 million euros as a security for use by Liberty in investment projects.
