SES: contract with TV5MONDE.
(CercleFinance.com) - TV5MONDE has signed a long-term distribution contract with SES for the broadcasting of three major channels to Francophone and Francophile audiences in sub-Saharan Africa, it was learned on Thursday morning.
According to the terms of this contract, TV5MONDE will use the SES-5 satellite to build a 3-channel package: its generalist channel TV5MONDE Afrique and its thematic channels TiVi5MONDE, which are dedicated to youth, TV5MONDE Style HD (lifestyle). The three signals will be routed to the satellite by SES Video teams.
Positioned at 5 degrees East, SES-5 provides optimal coverage of countries in sub-Saharan Africa. It hosts a growing mutualised environment, comprised of renowned platforms and over 500 local and international channels, 65 of which are in French.
