Toyota: group sales up 4.8% in April
(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota Motor Corporation has announced that total group sales reached 875,363 units in April 2023, up 4.
8% on April 2022.
Between April 2022 and April 2023, global sales of the Toyota brand rose by 4.9% (to 800,863 units), those of Daihatsu by +8.9% (to 66,010 units), while Hino sales fell by -25% (to 8,490 units).
At the same time, Toyota's overall production rose by 8.3% (to 895,085 units), with production up +13.8% for the Toyota brand (787,800 vehicles), but down -19.9% for Daihatsu (95,715 vehicles) and -20.1% for Hino (11,570 vehicles).
Finally, the group reports that its exports slipped -1.1% between April 22 and April 23, to 171,295 vehicles, with -0.5% for Toyota (166,264 vehicles) and -17.1% for Hino (5031 vehicles).
