Toyota: FY sales growth reaches 18.4%
(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota Motor Corporation has announced its FY 2022-2023 results (from 1 April to 31 March).
Sales reached 37,154.2 billion yen (E263.50bn), up 18.4 %.
Operating income decreased by 103.6 billion yen, or 4.5%, to 2,180.6 billion yen in FY 2023 compared to FY 2022. The decrease in operating income was mainly due to the unfavourable impact of soaring material prices, it said.
Total vehicle sales worldwide amounted to 10.558 million units - 177,000 units more than in the previous year.
In Europe, sales increased by 13,000 units to 1.030 million vehicles (+1.3%).
Vehicle unit sales in Japan increased by 145,000 units, or 7.5%, to 2,069,000 units in FY2023 compared to FY2022.
