WPP: buys data science firm Sandtable
(CercleFinance.com) - WPP's GroupM has acquired Sandtable, a data science firm that specialises in behavioural analytics and advanced simulations, the world's largest advertising company said on Thursday.
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in London, Sandtable employs data scientists, software engineers, behavioural experts and strategic planners who help clients understand human behaviour, explore future scenarios and support better strategic decision making, WPP said.
WPP said the acquisition is in line with its strategy of deepening its technology offer by strengthening investment in data science. It did not disclose the terms of the deal.
