ENI: discovers oil offshore Angola
(CercleFinance.com) - Late on Tuesday Eni announced a new discovery of light oil in block 15/06, estimated at 200 to 250 million barrels, offshore Angola, on the Cioca exploration prospect.
The Cuica-1 NFW was drilled as a well deviated by the Libongos drilling vessel in a water depth of 500 metres, reaching a total vertical depth of 4,100 metres, meeting a total column of 80 metres of reservoir of light oil (38° API) in Miocene sandstones, with sound petro-physical properties, Eni said.
The result of intensive data collection indicates an expected production capacity of around 10,000 barrels of oil per day, ENI said.
