Eni: confirms its commitment in Libya
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni has announced that its CEO Claudio Descalzi met the Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah and his Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Oun, in Tripoli on Sunday.
While Eni is the main gas producer in Libya and the main supplier of gas to the local market with a share of around 80%, Claudio Descalzi confirmed his firm's full commitment to operational activities and projects in the country, focusing on natural gas.
In particular, the parties discussed Eni's activities in the country and collaboration in the fields of renewable energy, circular economy, social projects, access to health and energy, education and professional training.
The company will continue to play a major role in gas production through relevant new offshore development projects such as Structures A&E, Bouri Gas Utilization and Sabratha Compression.
The company is ready to continue to develop the huge Libyan reserves already discovered, while enhancing its significant exploration potential, Eni says, which has been present in Libya since 1959.
