Eni: buys solar project in Virginia with Falck Renewables
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni and Italian green energy company Falck Renewables said on Tuesday that they are acquiring a ready-to-build solar project in Virginia.
The companies today signed an agreement with Savion, Macquarie's solar and energy storage unit, to buy the 30 MW project, that is intended to provide carbon-free energy to a regional utility firm.
Under the terms of the deal, their joint venture Novis will acquire the project upon the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent - expected by the end of November.
It will supply safe harbor panels, arrange financing and perform construction management for the project, based on costs estimated at around 35 million dollars, the companies said.
Commercial operations are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2021.
