Eni: Var Energi awarded new exploration licenses in Norway
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni's Var Energi said it will participate in 17 new exploration licenses as a result of the latest round of awards granted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy of Norway.
Var Energi has been granted seven oil and gas operatorships and 10 partnerships in the Norwegian continental shelf, which spans from the North Sea up to the Barents Sea, the firm said on Wednesday.
The Norwegian continental shelf is considered as a key part of the future organic business growth of Var Energi, which is jointly owned by Eni (69.6%) and the Norwegian investment group HitecVision (30.4%).
