Generali: could divest business in Switzerland
(CercleFinance.com) - The Italian insurance group Generali would like to study strategic options for its insurance activities in Switzerland, Bloomberg says.
Generali's management is working with advisors to study several options, including the sale of part or all of the company in Switzerland, it adds.
Generali Switzeland reports net income just shy of 200 million Swiss francs, with a million customers and around 2 billion euros in premiums, broker Aurel BGC says.
The company, which employs around 1,800 people, offers life insurance and pension products.
