Linde: receives award for its new catalyst
(CercleFinance.com) - Industrial gas group Linde has received an award from ICIS (Independent Chemical Information Service), in partnership with BASF, for its new catalyst and its steam reforming process, which significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions.
Linde and BASF have been awarded in the Best Process Innovation category for the application of the DRYREF (TM) synthesis gas process from Linde, in combination with BASF's SYNSPIRE (TM) catalyst, which facilitates steam reforming of methane in drying conditions, and the use of CO2 as a raw material.
ICIS is the largest supplier of information on the petrochemical market in the world and each year a jury of experts selects the winners of the prestigious innovation awards, it said.
The new process facilitates energy savings and offers an improved CO2 footprint, the group added.
