Accenture: digital transformation for Indian oil group BPCL
(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture today announced its collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
(BPCL), one of India's leading oil and gas companies, to support and reinvent the digital transformation of its extensive sales and distribution network.
Under the contract Accenture will use its data, artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technology capabilities to create, design and implement a digital platform, called IRIS.
This solution will integrate real-time data from BPCL's entire national network of over 18,000 retail fuel outlets, 25,000 tanker trucks, 75 petroleum facilities and depots, 52 LPG bottling plants and an additional 250 industrial and commercial sites.
The agreement will enable BPCL to optimise operational performance and efficiency, improve the safety and security of its operations and deliver a superior customer experience, Accenture said.
