Accenture: acquisition of Sweden's Cygni
(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture announced on Monday that it has acquired Cygni, a Swedish consulting firm specialising in the cloud, for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2006, Cygni helps clients in sectors such as telecoms, utilities and governmental clients to achieve their digital transformation.
The company, which has around 190 developers at its offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Linkoping, Malmoe, Lulea, Ostersund and Amsterdam, is often ranked as one of Europe's best companies to work for.
Accenture says the acquisition is part of the creation of its Accenture Cloud First division, which is expected to have 70,000 cloud specialists and will benefit from investments amounting to 3 billion dollars over the next three years.
