Accenture: beats estimates, raises forecasts
(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture, one of the world's largest consulting companies, said that its quarterly results beat analysts' estimates, citing "significant" gains in market share.
Net income for the company's fiscal third quarter ended 31 May increased to 1.27 billion dollars, or 1.96 dollar per share, from 1.06 billion dollars, or 1.63 dollar per share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose to 11.1 billion dollars, up 4%.
The company also raised its full-year forecasts.
For its fiscal year 2019, Accenture now expects revenue to increase in a range of 8% to 9% in local currency, compared with 6.5% to 8.5% previously.
The company now expects diluted EPS to be in a range of 7.28 dollars to 7.35 dollars, up from the previous range of 7.18 dollars to 7.32 dollars.
Despite this, Accenture shares were down over 2.5% in early morning trading on Wall Street.
