Accenture: acquires two firms in the US.
(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture has acquired Matter, a San Francisco-based firm that is focused on designing consumer products for the connected world.
This acquisition is intended to strengthen Accenture's design and innovation unit Fjord by adding "agile prototyping" and a "human-centered approach," the IT consulting group said.
Accenture also said that it has acquired IBB Consulting, a Philadelphia-based firm that helps broadband and mobile operators, media companies and technology providers to identify emerging industry shifts.
Founded in 2001, IBB Consulting has approximately 160 highly skilled employees.
