G4S: GardaWorld extends hostile bid despite frosty reception
(CercleFinance.com) - GardaWorld, a Canadian provider of security and cash services, has extended its hostile bid for British rival G4S, despite poor reception from investors, the company said on Monday.
The offer, which remains subject to the same terms and conditions, is being extended until Saturday 28 November, despite its "past problems" and "uncertain future," GardaWorld said.
As of 7 November, the first closing date of the offer, GardaWorld only held, or had received, 26.7 million shares, representing a mere 1.7% of G4S' share capital.
