Vodafone: acquires Liberty Global activity

1% in London after revealing a deal with Liberty Global to buy its business in Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania for a value of 18.4 billion euros.
“Vodafone will become Europe's leading next generation network owner, serving the largest number of mobile customers and households across the EU” underlines Vittorio Colao, CEO of the British telecoms operator.
This transaction is expected by Vodafone to close for the middle of 2019, still being subject to review and green light from the European Commission, although not the approval of the shareholders of the two groups.
