Royal Mail: announces one-off final dividend
(CercleFinance.com) - The Royal Mail share is up nearly 2% in London after its board, following a review of the group's performance over the past year, decided to pay a one-off final dividend of 10p per share for FY 2020-21.
This dividend will be payable on 6 September to shareholders registered on 30 July 2021, subject to approval at the 2021 AGM. The board also plans to announce a new dividend policy with the group's 2020-21 results on 20 May.
In addition, the British postal operator estimates that its adjusted operating profit for 2020-21 will still be around 700 million pounds, of which its GLS (General Logistics Systems) business will contribute around 350 million pounds.
