easyJet: capacities revised for fourth quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - easyJet now expects to fly slightly less than the 40% capacity forecast for the fourth quarter of 2020, as announced when it unveiled its Q3 results.
easyJet believes that customer confidence in planning their travel has been badly affected by the crisis.
This follows constantly changing governmental restrictions across Europe and quarantine measures in the UK, including yesterday's announcements that removed seven Greek islands from the exemption list, it said.
It would not at present be appropriate to maintain financial forecasts for the fiscal years 2020 and 2021 at this time, easyjet added.
Johan Lundgren, easyJet's CEO said, that the airline will continue to take a prudent and conservative approach to capacity, as it has done over this period.
