Experian: EU authorises joint acquisition of Informa
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of Informa Solutions by Bertelsmann, both from Germany, and consumer credit reporting company Experian from the UK.
Informa is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bertelsmann and will be jointly controlled by Experian and Bertelsmann after the deal.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not give rise to any competition concerns given the absence of horizontal overlaps and very limited vertical links between the companies' activities.
