Shell: slowing stock buybacks during the holiday
(CercleFinance.com) - Royal Dutch Shell is curbing its appetite for its own stock during the holiday season, according to a filing released on Friday.
On Friday the oil major bought back just 1,218 of its own "A" shares for cancellation, representing a transaction of only 27,750 pounds (about 30,000 euros), the filing showed.
The purchases are part of the second tranche of the group's share buyback programme, Shell said in the statement.
