G4S: completes upgrade of Yale University security.
(CercleFinance.com) - British security group G4S has carried out for a full-scale upgrade of the university's access and site security system Yale, for its 350 main campus buildings, the company said.
G4S said the whole system has been switched to its AMAG access control technology with 5,200 card readers deployed within the university and 947 door controllers installed across the campus.
An active shooter hoax a few years ago forced Yale to reconsider its security from a different perspective, G4S said.
Situated in New Haven (Connecticut), Yale has over 12,000 students.
