ITV: shares up after upbeat trading update

(CercleFinance.com) - Shares in ITV rise 4.
5 per cent after the British free-to-air commercial broadcaster reports an improved revenue performance for the first quarter.

The firm said first-quarter total revenues rose 6 per cent to 908 million pounds.

Net advertising revenue (NAR) was up 3 per cent.

Newly arrived CEO Carolyn McCall said the group was on track to deliver double-digit growth in online revenue and good organic revenue growth in ITV Studios for the full year.

She also warned that profits over the first half will reflect the timing of the World Cup.

After these comments, shares in ITV were up almost 4%.
