ITV: easyJet's chief to join as CEO in 2018.
(CercleFinance.com) - British broadcaster ITV said on Monday that Carolyn McCall, easyJet's CEO for the past seven years, will join its board as chief executive in 2018.
The network said Carolyn McCall stood out amongst a "very impressive field of high calibre candidates," because of her track record in media, experience of international operations, and strong record of delivering value to shareholders.
Prior to easyJet, Carolyn was chief executive for the Guardian Media Group.
Carolyn will take up her role at ITV in January 2018.
ITV shares were up 2.3% after the announcement, while easyJet shares were down 0.7%.
