Tesco: to launch a low-cost store
(CercleFinance.com) - On the centenary of its birth, Tesco announces that it is going to launch a new brand called “Jack's” - in reference to the group's founder, Jack Cohen - which will operate according to a low-cost business model.
Jack's will offer its customers tasty food at the lowest possible price - eight out of ten products will have been grown, bred or made in the UK, it said.
Over the next six months, Tesco will open 10 to 15 Jack's stores in the UK, the first two set to open on 20 September in Chatteris (Cambridgeshire) and Immingham (Lincolnshire).
