BAE Systems: SABRE System successfully tested
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems has announced that it has successfully flight-tested its Small Adaptive Bank of Electronic Resources (SABRE) technology, paving the way for a critical software upgrade to the EC-37B Compass Call, a next-generation electronic warfare aircraft.
BAE Systems and US Air Force teams conducted the testing during 11 flights of an EC-130H from Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona.
According to BAE Systems, the SABRE system is a major technological breakthrough, with its open architecture enabling systems to be upgraded without significant physical reconfiguration, which will enable the US Air Force to respond quickly and proactively to new enemy threat systems, it said.
