CGG: images available for study in Australia
(CercleFinance.com) - The CGG geoscience group announces the availability in Q4 2020 of preliminary images of its multi-client 3D seismic study carried out in the Gippsland Basin in south-eastern Australia.
This very broad-band data will allow incumbent operators and new entrants to make their decisions ahead of the proposed block auctions in this prolific and hydrocarbon-producing sedimentary basin.
This study, a first in this basin of about 8,700 km2, which was completed in July 2020 and benefited from a large pre-financing of customers, completes the first study of reprocessing existing data.
