Voltalia: developments at Serra Branca complex in Brazil
(CercleFinance.com) - Renewable energy group Voltalia has announced the commissioning of the entire VSM2 wind farm (128 megawatts) and the production of the first turbines of VSM3 (152 megawatts), two wind farms located in the Serra Branca wind and solar complex in Brazil.
"The cluster has now 897 megawatts in operation including 624 owned by Voltalia and 273 sold to third parties," said Sébastien Clerc, the company's CEO.
"This power generated today at Serra Branca is equivalent to the consumption of more than 4.9 million people, and this number will increase soon when projects in construction and ready-to-build will be completed," he added.
