Suez: unfavourable decision for Water business in France
(CercleFinance.com) - Suez has announced an order from the President of the Nanterre Commercial Court temporarily forbidding it from making irrevocable the measure aimed at ensuring the continuity of the French water division in the face of the threat of a takeover by Veolia and its allies.
Stressing that the President of the Court took care to call for a contradictory debate in the near future, the group will assert its rights and arguments during this contradictory debate in order to obtain a removal of this provisional measure.
Finally, Suez says that the Paris Court of Appeal has confirmed the suspension of the effects of the acquisition of Suez shares by Veolia from Engie and the transaction initiated by Veolia as a whole.
