Suez: opens Europe's most advanced recycling facility
(CercleFinance.com) - Suez announces the opening of the most advanced recyclying facility in Europe, found in Ölbronn, Germany.
This centre is intended for lightweight packaging.
With an annual processing capacity of 100,000 tonnes, this state-of-the-art sorting centre, with an innovative optical sorting device, meets the new German requirements by optimising the sorting of waste streams, for a better waste recovery.
At the European level, legislation aims for 65% of municipal waste to be recycled by 2035.
In 2018, the group sorted around 8 million tonnes of waste in Europe.
