Suez: wins waste recycling contract in UK
(CercleFinance.com) - Suez announces that the waste management authority of the County of Somerset, the Somerset Waste Partnership (SWP) has selected it as the preferred bidder for the contract to roll out a new household waste recycling service, starting in 2020.
Amounting to approximately 243 million euros, this ten-year contract could be renewed for another ten years. This contract, which includes waste collection services for over 250,000 households, is one of the largest waste collection services in the UK.
Upon the award of this contract, Suez will take charge of the new recycling service, called "Recycle More," including the operation of new vehicles and the weekly collection of a lot of recyclable waste, including plastic packaging.
