Suez: consortium with Veolia wins contract in Bangladesh
(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia and Suez have announced that they have won a contract for the design, construction and operation of the Gandharbpur drinking water plant from WASA, the authority responsible for the management of drinking and wastewater in the capital of Bangladesh.
This contract, which has been won at the end of an international tender, is worth a cumulative total of about 275 million euros. This operation will be conducted via a joint venture that is equally owned by Veolia and Suez, the consortium's agent.
The four-year project design and implementation will be followed by a three-year period of operation and maintenance. Both partners will ensure the gradual transfer of expertise to the public authority's employees.
