Suez: awarded contract in Middle East.
(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday Suez announced that it has won a major soil remediation contract in the Middle East.
Worth 107 million euros, it provides for the reclamation and rehabilitation of 400 hectares of lagoons located in the region of Al Rayyan, southwest of Doha (Qatar), and will help improve and preserve the region's environment.
In detail, the contract also covers industrial and municipal wastewater management, employing the latest technologies for odor control, sludge and sediment treatments. The Group will also build new evaporation ponds to be used by Ashghal as emergency discharge systems for industrial effluents.
