Getlink: freight transport back to pre-Covid level
(CercleFinance.com) - In October, Shuttle Freight traffic returned to its pre-Covid level with 142,542 trucks transported.
This solid performance is down 7% relative to October 2019, when the group saw an historic record in traffic, driven by the storage effect ahead of Brexit, which was then scheduled for 31 October 2019.
Since 1 January, nearly 1.2 million trucks have crossed the English Channel on the Shuttle.
In October 2020, Passenger Shuttles carried 92,458 passenger vehicles, hit head on by travel restrictions in the UK and other European countries.
Since 1 January, nearly 1.3 million passenger cars have crossed the Channel on Shuttles.
