Eurotunnel: passenger shuttle traffic down 1% in February
(CercleFinance.com) - Eurotunnel has announced that passenger shuttle traffic slipped 1% y-o-y in February, with 164,296 vehicles transported, having been hit by unfavourable weather conditions for tourism.
However, the Channel tunnel operator said that “The Flexiplus service hit a traffic record on 17 February, carrying 1,999 vehicles, more than 20% of the passenger traffic carried that day.”
With 133,287 trucks transported, Le Shuttle Freight recorded the second best month in its history, with growth of 5% relative to February 2017, despite particularly bad weather conditions over the last week.
