EDF: 93% of 2016 dividend balance paid in shares.
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF has announced that 93.
26% of dividend rights have been exercised in favour of a payment of the dividend balance in shares at the end of the option period, from 6 to 20 June, resulting in the creation of 145,476,587 new shares at a price set at 7.04 euros.
The new shares' delivery and admission to trading on Euronext Paris will occur on 30 June. They will take effect and will have the same rights and restrictions as ordinary shares in issue.
For the record, EDF's AGM of 18 May decided to pay a dividend for the 2016 financial year of 0.90 euro per share, with the option of receiving payment in new shares on the balance of 0.40 euro per share of the dividend still to be distributed.
