EDF: Hinkley Point C project under review.
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday EDF issued a press release on the highly publicised - and controversial - Hinkley Point C project (in the UK), following an article in Le Monde newspaper which mentioned that it would cost another 1 billion to 3 billion euros relative to what was initially planned.
The electricity giant reported that, as indicated in the 2016 Reference Document, a full review of the costs and timing of the nuclear reactor project is currently underway.
EDF said that this review is set to be completed soon, with the group set to reveal the results once it is finalised.
At this stage the Hinkley Point C project is scheduled to begin in 2025 - at least, officially...
