Eutelsat: pens contract with TIM for E150m
(CercleFinance.com) - Eutelsat Communications has signed an agreement with TIM for the sale of capacity on the Eutelsat Konnect and Konnect VHTS satellites.
This agreement will enable Italian households - even those living in the most isolated areas - to benefit from very high-speed fixed broadband via satellite from January 2021.
This multi-year agreement is expected to be worth nearly 150 million euros for Eutelsat.
TIM will purchase the entire Italian capacity on the Eutelsat Konnect satellite, which entered into service in November, as well as the vast majority of the capacity covering Italy on the next satellite, Konnect VHTS, as soon as it enters into service.
TIM will have exclusive rights for broadband distribution in Italy on these satellites for the contract's duration.
